These programs provide a variety of services to low income households. Although they are state and federally funded, all programs have been locally designed to meet the needs of the people in our community.
The Community Services Block Grant (CSBG) provides funding for programs for those who are homeless or at-risk of homelessness. These grants may provide assistance toward security deposit, first month's rent or past-due rent. The CSBG also funds a program that may provide short term emergency shelter to McHenry County residents who are homeless.
